About Rectangle Triangle
Rectangle Triangle is an independent record shop and DJ equipment dealer at 1288–1290 Rue Atateken, in Montréal's Village. We opened at the end of 2024: records, turntables, mixers, a bit of merch, and a coffee corner.
The idea is that a record store should be somewhere you stay a while. The listening station is there to be used, and most of what we carry is on the shelf because somebody who works here argued for it.
Records
Around 12,000 records on the floor at any time, most of them 12" singles running from the early eighties to now. The deepest sections are house, disco, synth-pop, garage house, deep house and boogie.
Every record is graded to the Discogs standard, and the site is the shelf — if it shows in stock, it is physically here. You can browse the whole catalogue or dig by style, label, artist or year.
Equipment
We also sell DJ and audio equipment — turntables, mixers, controllers, cartridges, headphones and monitors — from Reloop, AIAIAI, Tascam, Warm Audio and others. Bring a record and try a needle before you buy it.

Two places to find us
Montréal — 1290 Rue Atateken, a few minutes on foot from Beaudry métro on the green line. Open Tuesday to Sunday; closed Mondays.

Toronto — RT at Rhythm, a curated selection from our Montréal crates inside rhythm at 141 Bathurst St. Order online and collect it there.
The building came with a history
Our two doors sit in a building that spent roughly two decades as one of Montréal's more dependable places to lose track of time — three clubs did the heavy lifting: Playground, Groove Society and Parking. The street changed its name too, from Amherst to Atateken. We wrote it up in Once Upon a Time, the first piece in a series on Montréal nightlife.

Everything on the site ships worldwide, and you can order for in-store pickup in either city. We also sell through Discogs. RT Radio runs 24/7.
