Un projet de studio de rock britannique initialement créé pour enregistrer un album conceptuel sur Edgar Allan Poe. Ils se sont fait connaître grâce à la ballade puissante « Eye in the Sky » et à l'instrumental « Sirius ».

Instruments notables : Projectron – Appareil construit par Alan Parsons pour la lecture d'échantillons analogiques, similaire dans son concept général à un Mellotron. Le Projectron était constitué d'un magnétophone 24 pistes, chaque canal de lecture étant acheminé vers un amplificateur commandé en tension ; chaque VCA était à son tour commandé par une touche d'un clavier connecté. L'appareil a été utilisé sur les albums « I Robot », « Pyramide » et « The Turn of a Friendly Card ». Cependant, la préparation des bandes était fastidieuse et l'appareil nécessitait une maintenance intensive. Dès que Parsons a mis à disposition un Fairlight CMI, il a réorienté ses activités d'échantillonnage vers celui-ci. Parsons a mis le Projectron au rebut peu après 1980, et aucune photo n'en a survécu.
