Profile:

Label soul des années 1970-1980 de Chicago, Illinois, lancé par le producteur et ancien directeur de Brunswick Records Carl Davis en 1976.

Initialement pressé et distribué par United Artists Records, il a été distribué par 20th Century Fox Records en 1978. Il a rencontré le succès auprès de Gene Chandler, The Dells et The Chi-Lites durant la période 20th Century Fox (1978-1981). Après la fin du contrat, Chi-Sound a eu recours à une distribution indépendante et a réalisé des sorties sporadiques jusqu'en 1990 au moins.

Davis a relancé le label en 2007.
