Trance Dance was formed in Sweden in the mid 1980s as a seven-piece group, consisting of [a463282 (vocals), [a1143626 (guitar), [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/563683-PJ-Widestrand?filter_anv=1&anv=P.J.+WidestrandP.J. Widestrand[/url (keyboards), [a463285 (bass), [a463278 (drums) and the sisters [a433795 and [a366133 Holmström (additional vocals). Ben Marlene had previously been a member of the Finnish group [a1141978, which existed between 1982 and 1984 and made two albums. Marlene and the Holmström sisters are Swedish-speaking Finns.
