DJ, producer, club owner and promoter from Chicago, Illinois.
Pioneered the acid house sound with Phuture in the mid-to-late 1980s.
Signed to Jive in the late 1980s by former Trax Records A&R Wayne Williams.
Moved to New York in 1990 where he created the looped-up, layered 'wild pitch' style inspired by the parties thrown by DJs Greg Daye and Bobby Konders.
A&R at Strictly Rhythm from February 1992 to April 1994.
Founded DJP Records in 1999 and Afro Acid Muzik (Afro Acid Plastik) in April 2007.
Moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2008 and currently based in Duluth.
Brother of Reuben Jones (R. Jones (5)) aka King Maurice.
