Mesa/Bluemoon joined [l681 Records in 1994 and, in 1997, Nauful made Mesa/Bluemoon a component in Atlantic's Jazz & Classics Div. Starting with jazz, Bluemoon added R&B, smooth jazz & hip-hop jazz.
